When it comes to the NFL Draft the whole thing is about people seeing their dreams come true.
The spirit of the draft lends itself to that idea. Players have worked their whole lives towards the goal of reaching the NFL and at long last it finally happens. All of it pays off.
But dreams like this are the result of more than just the direct person involved. Obviously players have to put themselves in proper position to succeed, but each one of them has a group of supporters. A tribe. A village. As my new friends Taylor Rooks and Joy Taylor put it, a dreammate.
Thanks to our friends at Rocket Mortgage I was able to chat with Taylor and Joy ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft about this campaign and some notable things around the world of sports. Getting specific here, the Dreammate campaign celebrates the support system we all have in our journeys to achieving our goals, whether it is the pursuit of homeownership, launching a business or pursuing a career in the NFL.
As noted I also touched on the Dallas Cowboys with Joy given the things she has said about them in the past. I also asked Taylor about San Antonio Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama and how she thought somebody like Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young could work with him in the future.
