After missing a couple of weeks at the start of December with a right hamstring strain, the Wizards star exited a game at the end of the month with a left hamstring injury.

What is Bradley Beal’s injury?

Beal left Washington’s win over Philadelphia on Dec. 27 with left hamstring soreness.

Beal appeared to suffer the injury when he collided with 76ers star Joel Embiid on a drive to the basket with 4:17 remaining in the fourth quarter. He immediately grabbed his left hamstring and exited the game, tossing his headband in frustration as he went to the locker room.

Beal finished the game with 19 points on 8-for-15 shooting and five assists in 29 minutes of play.

How long will Bradley Beal be out?

Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. said after the game that the severity of Beal’s injury is unclear at the moment and he’ll undergo further evaluation.

Beal missed six straight games in early December with a right hamstring strain. The Wizards went 0-6 in that stretch, losing to the Bulls, Pacers, Nets, Nuggets and Clippers twice.

Beal is leading the Wizards in scoring this season with 23.5 points per game. He was also averaging a team-high 5.2 assists per game at the time of his latest hamstring injury.

A three-time All-Star, Beal signed a five-year, $251 million extension with the Wizards in the 2022 offseason.
