Canucks activate defenceman Travis Dermott off long-term injured reserve

The Vancouver Canucks have activated defenceman Travis Dermott from long-term injured reserve.

Dermott hasn’t played in the NHL this season as he has been dealing with a concussion. He played one game with AHL Abbotsford on a conditioning loan before the holiday break.

The 26-year-old suffered a concussion during practice back on Sept. 27. Since being acquired by the Canucks in a trade from the Maple Leafs last season, Dermott has suited up in just 17 games for Vancouver scoring a goal and adding one assist.
